NUTCRACKER 2026 INFORMATION
Auditions for The Nutcracker will be held on Sunday, September 20th at the Classical Ballet of WNY studios at 8180 Main St in Clarence. Your audition time depends on your ballet class level, so please check the following carefully:
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th:
Ballet 8 & Advanced- Please bring pointe shoes (girls) and ballet slippers
10:45 am Studio will open for registration and warm-up
11:15-1:30 Audition
Ballet 6 and Ballet 7
1:00-1:30 Registration and warm-up
1:30-3:30 Audition
Ballet 3, Ballet 4, and Ballet 5
3:15 Registration begins
3:30-4:45 Audition
Ballet 1B and Ballet 2
4:30 Registration begins
4:45-5:30 Audition
Rehearsal and Performance Schedule- at the Palace Theater in Lockport

General Information

THE PERFORMANCES WILL BE DIVIDED INTO 2 CASTS

Rehearsals will begin on Sun 9/27 for most, but not all, parts. All other parts will begin Sun 10/4. Most parts will only rehearse on Sundays, with the exception of some of the advanced (high school age) students.

Rehearsals will be divided between the Clarence studios & the Lockport studios (5-6 Sundays at each studio)

There is a Performance Fee for each cast member, which will range from $65-$130, depending on your level and part.

Each family is required to sell fundraising candy.

You may sign up (at the studio) your 4 or 5 year old to be an Angel in The Nutcracker on a first come, first served basis. Please remember that Angel positions are limited, so sign up early. Angel rehearsals are on Saturdays and will begin in mid-October.

Children age 6 and older have to audition for The Nutcracker

Everyone who auditions receives a part or parts.
